Cookie Policy

Short version: this site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking. Analytics loads only if you say yes, and nothing reaches Google before you do. What we store is listed below, in full.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Related technologies do much the same job: local storage and session storage keep data in your browser, and pixels or tags let a site or a third party recognise a request. Where any of these are used to collect or infer information about an identifiable person, they involve personal data — and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies.

This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains our data handling in full.

2. What this site actually stores

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Everything below is either strictly necessary, or set only after you have said yes:

NameTypePurposeRetained
nx-assistant-v1Local storageKeeps your conversation with the on-site assistant so it survives navigation and reloads, and remembers unread replies.Until you clear your browser storage
nx-assistant-nudgedSession storageRemembers which proactive prompts the assistant has already shown you, so it does not repeat itself.Until you close the tab
nx-consent-v1Local storageRecords your cookie choices and the date you made them, so we do not ask again and can evidence the consent. Strictly necessary — it exists only to honour your decision.12 months, or until you clear your browser storage
_ga, _ga_*Cookie (Google Analytics 4)Set only if you accept analytics. Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can count visits and see which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised.Up to 2 years — never set if you decline
The three strictly necessary items stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. None of them — including analytics — is used to profile you or to advertise to you.

3. Third parties involved in loading this site

Some resources are served by third parties. They do not set tracking cookies here, but they do receive your IP address and browser details as an unavoidable part of serving a request:

ProviderWhat it servesWhat it receives
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com)The typefaces used across the siteIP address, user-agent, referring page
Our hosting and CDN providerThe site itself and its assetsIP address, request logs, retained for security
Meta / WhatsAppOnly when you tap a "Chat with us" link and leave for WhatsAppGoverned by WhatsApp's own privacy policy from that point

Following a link to any third-party site takes you outside this policy. We suggest reading theirs.

4. Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. We run no advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking tags at all. Analytics is non-essential under the DPDP Act, so it is consent-first:

  • Nothing loads before you choose. Google Analytics is not merely set to a denied state — the Google script is not fetched at all until you accept. Decline, and your browser never contacts Google Analytics.
  • Granular. Analytics and advertising are separate switches. You can accept one, both or neither.
  • Nothing is pre-ticked, there is no cookie wall, and “Reject all” is the same size and prominence as “Accept”.
  • Withdrawal is as easy as consent — “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page reopens the choice, and rejecting takes one click.
  • We keep a record of what you chose and when, stored on your own device (`nx-consent-v1`).
  • IP anonymisation is on, and we do not link analytics data to any customer record, or export it to advertising audiences.

Google acts as our processor for this data and may process it outside India; see our Privacy Policy for how cross-border transfers are handled. Strictly necessary storage — the items in §2 needed to make features you asked for work — does not require consent, but you can still clear it at any time as described below.

5. How to control or clear it

  • Change or withdraw consent — “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page reopens your choices. Rejecting stops analytics immediately and clears the decision on your next visit.
  • Clear the assistant's memory — clear site data for this domain in your browser, or open the browser's developer tools and delete the keys listed in §2.
  • Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data, and offers a private/incognito mode that discards everything on close. See the privacy settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
  • Global Privacy Control / Do Not Track — we do not track you across sites. Analytics is off unless you switch it on, so a GPC signal changes nothing here: the default is already refusal.

Blocking storage entirely will not break the site, but the assistant will forget your conversation each time you navigate.

6. Cookies on sites we build for clients

This policy covers this website only. Where we build or manage a website for a client, cookie and consent decisions on that site belong to the client as the Data Fiduciary — we implement what they instruct, advise them on DPDP-compliant consent, and can deploy a consent-management platform where they want one.

7. Changes and contact

We update this page whenever what we store changes. The revision date above shows the current version.
