Text SMS
The channel that reaches every phone in India.
No app to install, no data connection, no smartphone required. SMS lands on every handset ever sold — which is why OTPs, delivery alerts and payment confirmations still travel this way. We run it properly: DLT-registered, template-approved, DND-compliant.
- DLT-registered under TCCCPR 2018
- Works on every handset ever sold
- No app, no internet, no smartphone

DLT-registered header that shows your brand instead of a number
Around 90% of SMS is read within three minutes of arriving. For an OTP, a delivery slot or a payment confirmation, that speed is the entire point.
Industry benchmarks compiled from published messaging reports, 2025–26. These are channel averages, not Nucleus Ai results — your delivery and response rates depend on list quality, template wording and timing.
Everything in the box — nothing extra to buy.
DLT registration, handled
Principal Entity registration, header (sender ID) and content templates filed on the DLT platform under TRAI’s TCCCPR 2018. We do the paperwork; you approve the wording.
Branded sender ID
A six-character alphabetic header on transactional and service messages, so your brand name appears instead of an anonymous number.
OTP & transactional routes
High-priority routes for one-time passwords, order confirmations and payment alerts — the messages that must arrive in seconds, at any hour.
Promotional campaigns
Offer and re-engagement campaigns on numeric sender IDs, scrubbed against DND and delivered inside the 9am–9pm window TRAI permits.
Delivery reporting
Per-message delivery receipts, failure reasons and operator-level breakdowns — so you can see what actually landed, not just what was submitted.
API & integrations
A simple HTTP API for your app, CRM or order system, so SMS fires automatically from the event that should trigger it.
Built for businesses like yours.
OTP & authentication
Login codes and transaction verification that must arrive in seconds, on any handset, at any hour of the night.
E-commerce & logistics
Order confirmations, dispatch alerts and delivery windows — the updates customers check for even when they ignore everything else.
Clinics & diagnostics
Appointment reminders and report-ready alerts that reach patients of every age, without assuming a smartphone.
Banking-adjacent & utilities
Payment due, payment received, statement ready — high-trust transactional messages on a channel people already expect them on.
Live in three steps — we do the heavy lifting.

We complete your DLT Principal Entity registration, headers and content templates with the operator.
Wire up
Routes configured, API connected to your systems, templates mapped to real events.

Go live, watch delivery reports, and tune templates and timing on what actually gets read.
The questions everyone asks before signing.
What is DLT registration, and do I really need it?
Yes — it is mandatory. Under TRAI’s Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, every business sending commercial SMS in India must register as a Principal Entity on a DLT platform, along with its headers (sender IDs) and content templates. Unregistered messages are simply rejected by the operators. Nucleus Ai completes the registration for you.
What is a sender ID, and can I choose mine?
A sender ID (or header) is the name that appears in place of a phone number. For transactional and service messages it is six alphabetic characters, and you can propose one that reflects your brand — subject to operator approval and to it not clashing with an existing registered header. Promotional messages use a six-digit numeric header instead, which is a TRAI rule rather than a choice.
What is the difference between transactional and promotional SMS?
Transactional and service messages relate to something the customer already did — an OTP, an order update, a payment receipt — and reach DND-registered numbers because they are not marketing. Promotional messages sell something, go only to non-DND numbers, and may be sent only between 9am and 9pm. Each category uses a different route and a different header, and mislabelling promotional content as transactional is a compliance breach.
Can I send SMS to numbers on the DND list?
Not for promotional content. Numbers registered on the Do Not Disturb list are scrubbed out of promotional campaigns before sending, and we do that automatically. Genuine transactional and service messages tied to an existing relationship are still delivered, because they fall outside the DND restriction.
How long does it take to get set up?
The variable is DLT approval — header and content template registration is reviewed by the operator, not by us, so we cannot promise a fixed date. We prepare and submit everything correctly the first time, which is what most delays come down to, and we tell you the moment a template comes back for revision.
What does bulk SMS cost?
Two lines, always shown separately: our setup and management fee, quoted in a written statement of work, and the per-message operator cost, passed through at cost. Rates differ between transactional and promotional routes. There is also a one-time DLT registration fee payable to the operator.
Can SMS trigger automatically from my system?
Yes. We connect an HTTP API to your app, CRM, e-commerce platform or order system, so the message fires from the event that should trigger it — order placed, payment received, appointment booked — with no one pressing send.
How do I know the messages actually arrived?
Every message returns a delivery receipt with its status and, where delivery failed, the operator’s reason. You get per-campaign reporting and can export it. Submitted is not the same as delivered, and we report the second number rather than the first.
The DLT paperwork? Ours.
Principal Entity registration, header approval, content and consent templates, DND scrubbing and the 9am–9pm promotional window — all of it is our job to get right. TRAI penalises the sender, so we do not guess.
